The NPPA has fixed/revised the price of 6 Bulk Drugs on 4th August, 2008
The fixed/revised notified prices shall become effective within 15 days from the date of notification in the Official Gazette. All formulators utilizing these drugs in their scheduled formulations are advised to follow the provisions of DPCO, 1995.

S.O. 1942(E) :-In exercise of the powers, conferred by sub-paragraph (5) of paragraph 3 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1995 read with the notification of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers number S.O. 637 (E), dated the September 4, 1997 and in supersession of the order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority) number 536 (E) dated 20th March, 2008, in so far as it relates to Vitamin E Acetate (dl Tocopheryl Acetate), except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority hereby fixes the price specified in column (4) of the Table given below as the maximum sale price (exclusive of excise duty and local taxes) at which the bulk drug specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) thereof shall be sold.
