The second edition of the EmTech India 2010 was inaugurated in Bangalore. Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Chairman, CyberMedia, Mr. Narayana Suresh, Group Editor, Technology Review India and Mr. Jason Pontin, Editor in Chief, Technology Review, inaugurated the event. The first edition of this premier event happened in New Delhi last year.

In his inaugural speech Mr. Gupta, said India is at a cross road of innovation. "We are living in a very exciting time and people are looking at how things can be done in an exciting way."

In a panel discussion, Mrs. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson of Biocon said India should focus on innovation that is affordable. She was part of the "Activating the Innovation Gene, which also had Dr. Andreas Kirchner of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany.
