Nuclear medicine technology is the one of the powerful, harmless medical speciality concerned with the use of safe and small amount of radioactive material not only for diagnosis but now it is also available for therapeutic, research purposes etc. The strong point of this field has been its dramatic development in new drugs, new machines and its applications. In future nuclear medicine will be considered as one of the most dynamic fields in medicine. In the view of these observations we reviewed role of nuclear medicine, its applications and current status.
