Synthesis, Characterization and Anticonvulsant Activity of Some Novel Thiosemicarbazone Substituted Indoles |

In the present study various thiosemicarbazone substituted indoles were synthesized in good yield and evaluated for their possible anticonvulsant activity by maximal electroshock seizure (MES) model in Swiss albino mice. All the newly synthesized compounds were in good agreement with elemental and spectral data. The results of anticonvulsant activity revealed that compounds 4, 5, 10 and 11, having electron-withdrawing group were found to be highly active in the series.
